Glendora's fall 2026 calendar moves across town as the weeks go by. October's big dates are in city parks, at Finkbiner Park and Centennial Heritage Park. The first Saturday in November is up in Big Dalton Canyon. From the Holiday Stroll on Nov. 20 through the last Santa visit on Dec. 19, nearly every date is on the same short stretch of Glendora Avenue. That stretch runs between Foothill Boulevard and Bennett Avenue, and it already hosts the farmers market every Wednesday night.
If you plan your weekends by where you're going, the season breaks into three parts. Here they are in order, with the dates, prices and addresses the city, the Village and the Chamber have posted.
October is a park month
The first three city events this month are all in parks, and two of them are on back-to-back days.
- Halloween Movie in the Park, Friday, Oct. 16, 6 to 8 p.m. Free, at Finkbiner Park, 181 N. Cullen Ave.
- Pumpkin Festival, Saturday, Oct. 17, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. At Centennial Heritage Park, 725 E. Mauna Loa Ave. Admission is $3, and children under 3 get in free.
- Halloween Carnival, Saturday, Oct. 31, 5 to 8 p.m. At the Finkbiner Park softball fields, 160 N. Wabash Ave. Wristbands cost $15 in presale or $20 on the day.
Finkbiner Park hosts two of the three, but the addresses differ. The movie lists Cullen Avenue and the carnival lists the softball fields on Wabash Avenue, so check which side of the park you need before you go.
The carnival pricing works in one direction. A wristband costs $5 less if you buy it before Halloween, so for a family of four, presale saves $20 over buying at the gate. The Pumpkin Festival is the cheaper outing at $3 a head.
The weekend the season starts to move
The last weekend of October is the first time the calendar splits between the parks and the Village. On Friday, Oct. 30, the Glendora Village Halloween Walk runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Village. The next evening, the city's Halloween Carnival opens at Finkbiner Park.
It's the same pattern as Oct. 16 and 17: a Friday event and a Saturday event, one day apart. This time, though, they're in two different parts of town, and the Friday one is a daytime walk through the Village. It's the first event of the season on the Village block, which goes on to host every holiday date that follows.
Nov. 7 goes uphill
Between the parks and the Village there's one Saturday with a different setting. The city's free 2026 Glendora Trails Day runs Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Volunteers spend the morning on trail upkeep in the Big Dalton Canyon Wilderness Area. The Glendora Trails Council organizes it, with co-sponsorship from the Glendora Rotary Club, ETI Corral 35 and the city's Recreation & Human Services Department.
Here's what to know before you go:
- Check-in and lunch are at the Big Dalton Amphitheatre/Campground on Big Dalton Road.
- Volunteers get a free lunch and a commemorative patch, and the trail tools are provided.
- Bring gloves, water, sunscreen, a hat or bandana and bug repellent, and wear pants and sturdy shoes.
- Volunteers under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign the release form, and youth groups need adult supervision. Release forms are filled out on the day.
- Bad weather can cancel the event.
- To register, email the Trails Council at [email protected].
The city's trails page says the main access and parking for Big Dalton are on Big Dalton Canyon Road, which you reach from Glendora Mountain Road. Trail gates are open from 7 a.m. to sunset. The Forest Service's latest Angeles National Forest conditions page doesn't list a Glendora-specific road status. It sends visitors to the city and county road agencies for roads like Glendora Mountain Road. Check the city's road alerts before you drive up that morning.
From Nov. 20 on, one block holds the calendar
After Trails Day, the season moves into the Village and stays there. Every remaining date below is on Glendora Avenue, in Glendora Village Plaza, or starts from there.
| Date | Event | Time | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Every Wednesday | Glendora Village Farmers Market | 5 to 9 p.m. | Glendora Ave. between Foothill Blvd. and Bennett Ave. |
| Fri., Nov. 20 | Holiday Stroll & Tree Lighting | 6 to 9 p.m.; tree lit at 6:30 p.m. | Glendora Village and Plaza |
| Sat., Dec. 5 | Santa in the Village | 5 to 7 p.m. | Glendora Village Plaza |
| Sat., Dec. 12 | Glendora Christmas Parade | 9 a.m. to noon | Starts in Glendora Village |
| Sat., Dec. 12 | Santa in the Village | 5 to 7 p.m. | Glendora Village Plaza |
| Sat., Dec. 19 | Santa in the Village | 5 to 7 p.m. | Glendora Village Plaza |
The Holiday Stroll page says the tree goes on at "6:30 p.m. sharp" in the Plaza, followed by the Glendora High School Show Choir. Expect shops open for strolling, seasonal treats and decorations. Admission is free and no tickets are needed. The Glendora Chamber's listing runs the event from 6 to 9 p.m. and mentions Santa photos and local singing groups. The lighting happens half an hour after the stroll opens, so if you want to see it, plan to arrive closer to 6 than 7.
Dec. 12 has the most going on in one place. The parade fills the morning, and Santa is back in the Plaza from 5 to 7 p.m. Both are on the same handful of blocks that day.
The parade's last published route starts on the market block
The organizers' route page gives a 1.25-mile course. The streets themselves appear on the parade homepage, in a description still labeled as the "2025 Glendora Christmas Parade." Until the committee posts a 2026 version, treat this as last year's published route:
- Start at Bennett Avenue and Glendora Avenue.
- Head south on Glendora Avenue to Foothill Boulevard.
- Turn west on Foothill to Grand Avenue.
- Go north on Grand to Bennett Avenue.
- Head west on Bennett and finish at Sandburg Middle School.
The first leg covers the same stretch of Glendora Avenue between Bennett and Foothill that the city lists for the Wednesday farmers market. If the 2026 parade follows that route, it starts right where the market sets up. From there the route loops around the Village on Foothill, Grand and Bennett.
The Glendora Parade Committee presents the parade. Sponsors listed on its site are the City of Glendora, Glendora Rotary, Glendora Kiwanis and the Glendora Chamber of Commerce. The committee's mailing address is in care of the Chamber at 224 N. Glendora Ave.
A few parade details hadn't been posted as of Oct. 10:
- Start time. The Chamber's 2026 listing says 9 a.m. to noon. The parade's own homepage shows 12-12-2026 at the top, but some of its body text still refers to the "2025" parade. Use the Chamber's times.
- Theme and grand marshal. Neither the parade site nor the route page has posted these yet.
- Street closures and parking. No parade-day closure schedule has been published.
For parking on market nights, the Glendora Village Farmers Market points to the public lots around the Village, which you reach from the surrounding streets. Admission is free, and the site shows no change to the 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday hours in fall or winter. The market's parking guidance is the only published parking advice for this block. Holiday-night parking may work differently, so check closer to the date.
Dinner on the block, and a few things to know
If you want dinner on stroll night or a Santa Saturday, there's a new option near the Chamber's office. Chase's second location, at 216 N. Glendora Ave., takes reservations on Resy as of Oct. 10. That address is a few doors from the Chamber's 224 N. Glendora Ave. A bit farther out, Tut's Kabob opened in March at 150 S. Grand Ave., Ste. M.
A few more dates and projects to know about:
- Thanksgiving closures. City Hall facilities and Glendora Public Library are closed Thursday, Nov. 26, and Friday, Nov. 27. If you have library holds to pick up, the Wednesday before is the last weekday they're open that week.
- San Dimas Wash Urban Trail. The city's capital projects page has a segment slated for fall/winter 2026. It's a paved trail with pedestrian-safety improvements, running along the wash from Sunflower Avenue at Gladstone Street to Grand Avenue.
- Glendora Avenue and Foothill Boulevard plans. The same page has plans dated Aug. 25, 2026, for Glendora Avenue from Route 66 to Foothill and for Foothill from Citrus Avenue to Vista Bonita Avenue. They're part of the city's first/last-mile work around safe access to the Metro A Line. No construction dates for the Village stretch appear on the page.
Here's the short version for the calendar on your fridge. Finkbiner Park on Oct. 16 and 31, Centennial Heritage Park on Oct. 17, Big Dalton Canyon on Nov. 7, and Glendora Avenue between Foothill and Bennett for every Wednesday market and every holiday date from Nov. 20 to Dec. 19.
